The Clips and Trips blog was put together in preparation for our leaving the U.S. on an indefinite world travel adventure which started around August of 2009 and returned us home in December of 2012. If you want to see where it all began, read our mission statement from before we left.

Spring Scream, Kenting, Southern Taiwan
In April we traveled to Taiwan's southern most point for the annual music festival. It was held in a national park in the city of Kenting overlooking the ocean -- an amazing sunset backdrop. We camped right on site where food and drinks were available for surprisingly reasonable festival prices. The bands played for three days and we had a fantastic time with our friends. There was quite a different feel down there away from the industrial grays of Taipei. We took buses on our way down, and the high speed rail on the way back. The high speed is so worth it.

That looks like a 1/64 scale model of Reggae Sunsplash 89.
ReplyDeleteCoachella Taiwan style! =)
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun and nice clear weather too. I notice you get a lot of rain when I check the news reports. Are the friends people you work with?

We don't work with them but they are teachers too. They are Corlia and Renate from S. Africa. We met them through our bay area friends.
